Do you find yourself sitting around the house bored and wanting something important to do with your time? Maybe you’d even like to earn a little bit of money while you’re at it.

As a homemaker myself, I think it’s great if you can find ways to save money and make money right from the privacy of your own home. You can work a few minutes here and a few minutes there, when you have time. You can work while you eat lunch.

There’s just so many advantages to working from home. You may not make bundles of money, but you can make enough to pay the electric bill once a month. All you have to do is share your opinion on products and services.

It may sound simple finding a survey site to work from, but it’s not. There are more scam sites and waste-of-time sites than there are legitimate, good, money-making sites.

This review is about Panda Research and by the end of it, you’ll know which category this survey site falls into.

Is Panda Research a legit company?

Panda Research is a free site where consumers can participate in surveys, offers, and other research marketing studies in exchange for money. In addition, you can also become eligible to receive coupons, discounts, and giveaways as incentives as well.

Panda Research was established in 2005. They’re owned by A&A Marketing, Inc. and neither of them are accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it’s definitely not good, either.

To sign up, you have to complete a member profile. This includes information such as email, home address, and phone number. After you fill out the member profile, you then have to fill out a new member questionnaire.

This is to better match you with qualifying surveys. Once you confirm your email and phone number, you’re ready to start.

Your opinion matters to many paid online survey sites. Don’t forget to check out our PointClub review, BigSpot review, and Univox review.

How to earn rewards with Panda Research

Panda Research rewards you $3 as a new member. As a member you can begin taking surveys. The only one I can see that’s available is actually one through MySurvey, is $1.50, and is the ”Top Current Offer.” I’m guessing the rest of the surveys are around that same amount or less.

Panda Research surveys generally take between 5-15 minutes, so not too long. You can also earn money by reading emails, but there’s a $25 limit per payout. If you’ve made over that amount, the difference will remain in your account until the next time you’re eligible for payout.

Here’s the real kicker. You have to make $50 before you can make minimum payout.

Additionally, they only payout in $50 increments. This means, if you have $65, you get paid $50 and the other $15 gets left in your account until next time. If you have $149, you get paid $100, and the other $49 will have to wait until next payout.

This is absolutely nonsense. That payout is super high and the fact that they only pay in $50 increments is incredibly ridiculous. I had to read it over again just to make sure I was seeing it right!

Panda Research do pay via PayPal, but only on the first and fifteenth of every month.

If you refer a friend and they make the $50 payout, you get 10%.

Personally, if you referred me to this site, we’d no longer be speaking! Seriously, even when you reach the $50 payout, it’s still a hassle to receive it. You have to have approved status- whatever that means.

When you get it, you then have to click on the ”payout” button, verify the withdrawal via phone, then wait another 30 days for it to be distributed.

All of this is supposed to prevent the possibility of fraud, but it sounds to me like it’s supposed to prevent the possibility of your getting paid!

The PROS of Panda Research

Okay, so what can I say good about this site? It’s free. That’s about it. Please check out my other reviews of legit paid survey sites.

The CONS of Panda Research

What can I say bad about this site? Pretty much everything. First off, the site itself last update was 2011. That’s very suspicious. A thriving business, as they propose they are, would have someone updating their site regularly.

I already stated the fact that they aren’t accredited and in addition, their parent company had an F rating from the BBB. Some of the surveys have no incentive whatsoever. They ask for your phone number. According to their Terms and Conditions, they can kick you out for any reason or no reason.

Also, referring to their Terms, they don’t even guarantee that you’ll get payment. I read many member reviews and none of them were good. Most said they were owed money they never received, one was owed $350.

Some said once they reached $5 or $10 below payout, the qualified surveys just stopped completely and the only ones they would qualify for were free ones. Others claimed when they tried to contact Panda Research Support, it would say ”invalid email”.

I looked and couldn’t find any contact information for them, no email, no phone number.

Is Panda Research a scam?

In my opinion, and the opinion of many disgruntled members, do NOT join Panda Research. None of the member reviews I found said anything good. They were all bad reviews.

Some members realized after only a few days that they were being scammed, but some actually put in months and months of work, only to be stiffed on payment.

Also, many members complained about receiving tons of spam mail and unsolicited sales calls shortly after joining, which leads me to believe they are selling members personal information.

Either way, no one has been happy with them or their surveys in a long time. If you want to participate on a survey site, don’t pick this one!
